Verification and badges on SubHub
Badges do not all mean the same thing. Read the badge label and explanation, check whether a credential is current, and independently confirm requirements for your project.
Membership is not a credential
A blue check associated with paid membership shows account or membership status. It is not proof of identity, licensing, insurance, bonding, background screening, skill, or work quality, and it is not a SubHub endorsement. Payment alone must never be treated as professional verification.
Credential-specific signals
Separate, labeled signals can represent platform-confirmed identity or reviewed documentation for licensing, insurance, bonding, business registration, or background checks. Credential-derived badges are shown only while the corresponding platform record is active; an expiration can pause a badge. Badge details are limited to the claim stated and do not evaluate workmanship.
Verification tiers and other badges
Sub Hub Verified reflects platform-confirmed identity. Higher verification tiers require the additional credential combination described in the product. Commercial Verified is based on a reviewed commercial application and required documentation, not purchase of the commercial add-on. Preferred Pro is derived from platform performance signals and is not purchasable.
Your verification checklist
Open badge explanations, ask for current documents, confirm names and coverage, and verify licenses with the issuing authority where relevant. Requirements vary by trade and location. No badge guarantees safety, availability, pricing, contract performance, or outcome.
